THE SPECTACULAR 56TH ANNUAL L’ORÉAL COLOUR TROPHY AWARDS On Monday 4th July 2011 The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final engulfed the Grosvenor House and filled the room with glamour. Over 1000 of the hair industries most prominent and successful figures filled the room to witness the 45 meter perspex runway come alive with breathtaking lighting, enthralling stage effects, chest thumping music and mesmerising hairdressing talent. The ever cool evening’s presenter Radio Ones, Sara Cox took the audience through the fashion led journey that ended with an emotional bang. Russell Eaton salon from Leeds took the judging panel by storm and seized the industries longest running and most renowned hair award, The L’Oréal Colour Trophy. Rush salon on Walton-on-Thames was awarded with second place and Matthew Curtis Hair Design in Stratford-Upon-Avon scooped the third place. The highly anticipated L’Oréal Colour Trophy Men’s Image Award was won by Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden Celebrated runners up in this award were Clipso on Windmill Street, London NEW! For 2011 The L’Oréal Young Colourist award was handed to seven tremendously talented fresh hairdressing stars each representing their region within the exciting 2011 ‘L’Oréal Colour Academy’ created to nurture and develop young hairdressers in the industry.
